  • Time your communication to speak with your supervisor when they are in a receptive mood. 
  • Inform them promptly when a problem arises. This helps prevent problems from escalating into emergencies. 
  • Know when to communicate privately. Think before you speak, and identify issues that should be discussed in private. 
  • If you have a difference of opinion, disagree agreeably. This will help keep the conversation productive.
